So anyway, this stamp means that I like the music that I like. I really don't like having to defend my personal tastes, and I don't think I should have to in the first place. Unless I insulted your taste in music, there's no need to get up in my face about music I don't like.
At the same time, I don't get the people who are so adamant/defensive about the music they like. I don't think it really matters what you listen to begin with, as long as you like it. I mean I do listen to a lot of artists that people don't like, whether it's for the actual sound, the fact that they don't deserve their popularity, are sell-outs, bad influences, etc. More often than not, I'll laugh right along with you when you point out something about why such-and-such a band sucks, or some of the stupidity of their fantards.
When I get a comment like "You listen to ______? Why not listen to a real artist like ______?" I tend to go "Okay," and try them out, and if I like them, I'll listen to them some more. Sometimes I even get to say "I already do listen to _____, actually, just not enough for them to appear on my Top 50 chart yet," and leave people utterly perplexed, because apparently it's impossible to like both Band A and Band B at the same time. Some of the attitudes about what people can and OMG CAN NOT listen to are just ridiculous, but I think it's a good opportunity to expand my musical horizons.
But in the end, it all comes down to one thing, regardless of the genre, popularity, and 'quality': do I like listening to it? I'm not one of those people who only listen to an artist (or on the other hand, refuse to) simply because someone says I should/shouldn't. It's all me, which is the way I think it should be for everybody.

This feature was brought together by my watchers and hours of browsing galleries for inspiring pieces that have gone unnoticed. Here are the results, one hundred beautiful photographs with under one hundred favorites. Let's give these artists the attention they deserve <3
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
